Building a Distributed System: The Basics

For our April meeting, we'll be taking a look at building a distributed system from the ground up. We'll start at ground zero and slowly build up our own distributed system by exploring fundamental concepts, and using existing tools like Apache Zookeeper, Apache Curator, and AWS. We'll be creating a project on GitHub for our code and to track our progress. No formal knowledge of distributed systems is required, and coding/participation is optional.

This is a great opportunity to learn about distributed systems, coding, and even a little bit about cloud deployments. Look forward to seeing everybody this month, and holler with questions.
