CCPA COMPLIANCE FOR STARTUPS
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) takes effect on January 1, 2020. We will give an overview of the law, key compliance tools, the latest state of the law (including amendments and regulations), then turn to how makers can design products with privacy in mind. The idea is to help those who might not be able to afford an expensive compliance effort, or who are not subject to the CCPA yet but are planning to be. Many entrepreneurs know of laws like GDPR and CCPA but aren't sure how to speak to lawyers about them. This session would give those people the tools to identify potential legal issues.
